Avid (http://www.avid.com) has released the
Digidesign Eleven Rack for guitar players. It’s a
standalone hardware unit that combines a guitar
amp and effects processor with a computer
recording audio interface, to create a recording
and performance solution.
It will be available later this month at a
manufacturer’s suggested retail price of
US$1,259. It’s bundled with Pro Tools LE studio
mixing software.
Avid says that Eleven Rack provides guitarists
with three distinct solutions in one product that:
° Replicate everything guitarists love about
vintage and modern amplifiers without the hassle
of storing or maintaining them;
° Create the ability to record incredible guitar
tone without needing to re-record a great
performance due to bad tone;
° Reproduce tones captured in the studio in live
performances with unprecedented ease and
flexibility.
