Monkeybread Software has released version 1.0 of the MBS REALbasic Updater Kit (http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.de/realbasic/UpdaterKit/). It’s designed to help developers in adding an automatic update feature to their application.
It’s cross platform and runs on Mac OS X and Windows. MBS REALbasic Updater Kit comes with: full source code access; the use of Sparkle on Mac OS X for updating and our own code for Windows; a script file for the Inno Setup engine. (you can use others if you like); the ability to use digital signatures on Mac and MD5 Checksum on Windows to ensure download integrity; and a generator for XML file for a server and code to parse this file and find newer versions.
The Updater Kit requires REALbasic 2008 or newer and a license of the MBS REALbasic Complete License. It costs US$99.
