Apptix (http://www.apptix.com) — a provider of hosted Microsoft Exchange email, Microsoft SharePoint and VoIP services for businesses worldwide — has launched Apptix Hosted Exchange for Apple, a new hosted offering that provides native integration of Apple-based communications applications with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
The service provides full business-class Exchange support for all Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.6.x (“Snow Leopard”). ActiveSync mobile service is also included with each Exchange mailbox for use with the soon-to-be launched iPad, as well as any iPhone or iPod touch (with Wi-Fi access) mobile digital devices.
“Apptix Hosted Exchange for Apple gives our customers all the features and functionality of hosted Microsoft Exchange, but without the need for software outside of native Mac applications,” says James Bond, vice president of Software & Product Development for Apptix. “Our customers can now use Apple Mail, Apple iCal, Apple Address Book applications and other device-specific applications to collaborate with colleagues and partners while enjoying the same benefits as PC users when it comes to Microsoft Exchange, all at a lower price point.”

° Full functionality of Microsoft Exchange 2007;
° Full support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard’s Apple Mail, iCal, and Address Book applications;
