“To the extent new releases of operating systems or other third-party products, platforms or devices, such as the Apple iPhone or iPad, make it more difficult for our products to perform, and our customers are persuaded to use alternative technologies, our business could be harmed,” Adobe said in the filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission under a “risk factors” heading.
“Adobe’s goal has been to make it so people can create content once and it can be delivered across all platforms — that’s the pitch and Apple is trying to derail that effort,” Patrick Walravens, an analyst at JMP Securities, told “Bloomberg.” “There’s a lot of noise around this issue and it’s significant for Adobe.”
