Virgin Atlantic has released Jet Lag, an US$1.99 iPhone/iPod touch app designed to help air travelers fight jet lag. It offers a personalized daily activity calendar providing advanced based on the selected therapy type, the user’s personal profile and trip details. In addition, the app contains a graph showing the real-time predicted adjustment, an alertness meter indicating the body’s peak levels of performance, in-flight tips based on trip length and a multimedia guide to jet lag.
Vroom has announced “The Complete Edgar Allan Poe 1.0, ” a new, $0.99 eBook reader for the iPhone and iPod touch. It includes all of Poe great tales and poems, plus selected essays, his only completed novel, and some of his unfinished writing, totaling over 150 works by the author.
TapFactory has announced a new version of the Stick It for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The $0.99 app lets you create notes and reminders and wallpapers. With the new version TapFactory now offers the ability to easily swap notes between iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads utilizing the popular Bump technology.
SintraWorks has announced Metron 2.1, an update to $2.99 digital metronome for the iPhone and iPod touch. It offers a playback engine and a bar based sequencer to provide detailed control over tempo settings and time signatures, including mixed meters, accelerandos and ritardandos. Metron incorporates a pitch pipe. Version 2.1 adds enhanced tuplets, setlists, an enhanced pitch pipe and rhythm pattern templates.
MotionObj has introduced SimplyTweet 3.1, an update to their $2.99 Twitter app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It offers built-in support of push notifications for new mentions and direct messages. Version 3.1 adds improved Twitter lists and Geotagging support, while improving performance and stability. There is also new-style retweet support and more URL shortening options.
