THQ Wireless has announced Star Wars: The Battle for Hoth for the iPhone and iPod touch is now available for download on iTunes for US$2.99. In the game, players assume the role of the commander of the Rebel forces as they defend the shield generators from the Imperial ground troops. With 15 levels, two game modes and two difficulty settings, plus a help and unit guide, the strategy game challenges players to properly place defensive units in order to stop waves of enemy units from destroying the generators. Star Wars: The Battle for Hoth was developed by Fluffy Logic.

Hypnovisualization has released AIRelaxation 1.0 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The $2.99 app is designed to help those suffering from flight phobias to reach a state of deep relaxation, both mentally and physically, in order to fly more comfortably. ASC Software has debutedTug of War 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch users. The $0.99 app offers short games of speed during which multiple players try to collect power up items while winning a tug of war game. In-game items have power-up capabilities that can move a loser to winner status. Two players can pit their skills against one another on a single phone, or users can access a challenge on multiple phones via Bluetooth technology.

Sarsoft has rolled out Paddle Pong, a free iPhone/iPod touch game. It’s a two-player paddle and ball game. An iPad version, Paddle Pong HD, is also available for $1.99.
