Other World Computing (http://www.macsales.com) says its OWC Mercury Extreme Pro SSD line has begun shipping in the largest capacity model available of any SandForce-based processor SSD on the market — up to 480GB — by being the first SSD on the market to use the new SandForce SF 1232 processor that’soptimized for the higher flash density required by these drives.
The OWC Mercury Extreme Pro SSD line is available for immediate ordering in eight configurations from 50GB to 480GB starting at US$194.99. All models are Mac and PC compatible and installs into notebooks, as well as into desktops/towers with an OWC Multi-Mount adapter kit sold separately.
