You can read, listen to and share the Bible with your friends and family through the free Bible.is iPhone app. Features include: dramatized audio with 180 characters, music and sound effects; audio New Testaments with full text in 37 languages and 63 versions; simple verse sharing on Facebook; and the complete Bible in English (Old and New Testaments).
RadVision — a technology and end-to-end solution provider for unified visual communications including video network infrastructure, developer tools and high definition (HD) room, desktop and mobile video conferencing systems — is working on SCOPIA Control for the SCOPIA XT1000 HD room system, the first iPad app for control of video conferencing room systems. It’s due in September.
MOG (http://www.mog.com), an on-demand music listening service, says its mobile streaming music application is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. The MOG mobile app is free to download and users can enjoy a free three-day trial with no sign-up or credit card required. ForUS $9.99 per month, subscribers get access to more than eight million songs with unlimited listening and all-you-can-eat downloads, as well as MOG’s desktop service which can be accessed using any computer and any browser.
Fishington Studios has released Screwed! – Survival Tools for Today’s World 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $0.99 app offers advice for such situations as being lost in the woods or fighting zombies and vampires.
Inert Soap has announced Fingerzilla 2.3.2 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. In the $1.99 game, whole cities can be flattened and people from a user’s contact list can have the life squished out of them in seconds flat. Only virtually, of course. In version 2.3.2, developers have added background music called, Rockzilla, which is an original score by ASCAP award winner, Mike Weiser.
Text’nDrive has launched an iPhone application to read and reply to emails with intelligent speech technology. Designed to help curb the increase in accidents caused by distracted driving while texting or emailing, Text’nDrive enables drivers to listen to and respond to email messages by voice using any hands-free device, so they can keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. There are both free (featured limited) and pro ($19.99) versions available.
Pedala Games has kicked off Air Soccer 1.0, for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 game is a mix of the excitement of soccer with the ease of an “Air Hockey” game. Designed to make the user feel like a real soccer stadium, you can play with the 32 FIFA 2010 World Cup teams, including USA, Brazil and the world champion, Spain.
IGameYou has debuted HiWord Universal 1.0, a $0.99 word game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It supports 86,800 words and 19 levels.
Gerald Aquila has released Firetask 3.0, an update to his $4.99 task management app for iPhone and iPod touch devices. The new version features a new dedicated status control to the very left in each task list, clearly separated by a vertical orange line. Firetask now takes full advantage of the new possibilities of iOS 4 as well as the new iPhone 4 hardware.
SpotACop has introduced SpotACop 2.1 for iPhone 3G and 3GS users. The $0.99 app offers police and law enforcement location data, with information gained from a network of drivers sharing information.
Cluebucket Software has unveiled Pazzi 1.2 for iPad users. The $2.99 tile board game, originally developed for the iPhone and iPod touch, has been updated specifically for use on the Apple tablet. Pazzi can be played with swiping moves, or by tilting the device alone to provide an extra challenge.
Picture Trivia has rolled out PictureTrivia 1.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The $1.99 app is a trivia game that uses photographs, rather than words to illicit responses from the app’s users, who study a picture to figure out its global location.
Wil Richardson has announced PlingPlong 2.2 for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It’s a $0.99 game that’s reminiscent of bumper pool. Users have a limited number of tries to Fling the Plong (like a ball) at the stationary Plings (like a bumper) to light them up. The game is over when they light up all of the Plings, or run out Flings. But there’s a catch. If they Plong a Pling twice, it deactivates; and they must use another Fling to re-light it.
Intelligenti has announced Tips & Tricks – iPhone Secrets Lite 4.0, an update to their free help guide for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app includes tips related to iOS4 including how to access multitasking, how to use spell check, how to unify the Mail inbox, and more. The guide is also updated with a bonus chapter that gives the user three new and different tips every month to further their knowledge. Version 4.0 offers over 25 new tips, presented in a book-like app.
Dlux Studio has released Elasticr 2.0, an update of the $2.99 app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. An Alien invasion, a clumsy janitor, a vat of rubber and a burst of radiation lay the groundwork for the latest release of “Elasticr, the Stretchiest Superhero” game.
SplashData has launched the $4.99 iPad version of SplashMoney, the company’s personal finance manager. With SplashMoney, iPad users will be able to connect to their online banks from their tablet device or desktop computers and download transactions. You can create budgets and then track and analyze spending with customizable reports and charts. SplashData directly supports most account types, including checking, savings, credit card, cash and more.
Emtrace Technologies has rolled out Moxier Wallet 1.5.1, an update to its free password management tool for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a secure personal information vault for managing and storing important frequently used information such as financial data, prescription and health info, vehicle and product data, as well as web site logins and passwords.
