Mobz technologies has announced two new Halloween apps for the iPhone and iPad. They contain a specially selected set of scary Halloween sounds. The iPhone edition is a free lite version of the $1.99 iPad edition.

Zombie Roadkill, a $1.99 zombie-killing sidescroller, is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. You play as one of the last remaining humans in the zombie apocalypse, a tough biker and mechanic who’s turned a giant construction wheel into a vehicle and anti-zombie weapon of mass destruction.

Webvision Internet Services has introduced Galaxart 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $0.99 app lets you create your own galaxies. There are many pre-created assets, including planets, galaxies, nebulae, lens flares and more. Users can also choose between multiply, overlay, color and screen blend modes. You can export creations and send them to friends.

Gnosis Games has debuted Seek and Find, a $2.99 game for iOS devices. It’s a “brain and reflex trainer.”

Commercial Calculations 1.0 is a new, $0.99, iOS device tool to calculate purchase price, profit, sell price with or without tax, margin percentage, mark-up percentage and coefficient multiplier of any product or supply. This is an app for those who deal in a lot of commercial sales and negotiations.

AT&T has released the free Voicemail Viewer app for iPhone, which lets you access your home phone messages with visual voicemail.

Team Phobic has rolled out GravBot 1.0, their latest game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a physics-based puzzle platformer where the player decides which way is “up” as a little robot falls and pivots through each level. You must collect all the batteries to win, but watch out. A wrong move could be deadly! GravBot includes twelve levels available to try for free. Two add-on level packs are available for purchase, each with 20 more levels to play.

Brightline Labs has produced Anyone Can Paint! 1.0, a $4.99 iPad app designed to make painting easy and fun. It was developed to bring digital oil painting to casual users who just want to relax and enjoy expressing themselves.

In celebration of Mega Bloks’ 25th birthday, MEGA Brands has introduced its first iPhone and iPad application, ‘Mega Bloks Playground,” a mobile-based, preschool interactive world that includes two playable Mega Bloks buddies, a boy and a girl, who interact with a full set of in-world elements, such as swing sets, slides, teeter-totters, playful animals, and more. Mega Bloks Playground is $1.99 for the iPhone version and $3.99 for the iPad version. Starting today, the app will be 50% off for a limited time.

Readdle is offering PDF Expert for iPad, a $4.99 app for working with PDF documents. It combines a PDF reader, annotation capabilities and l file management in one app. PDF Expert for iPad lets people read and search PDF documents, highlight text, create notes, draw with a finger and save these changes being compatible with Preview and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Coladia has announced Secret of the Lost Cavern HD 1.1 for iPad. It’s a $9.99 adventure game that plunges the player into a journey that takes place during the Paleolithic period in prehistoric time, 15,000 years B.C. The new version includes English, French, Spanish, Italian and German localizations, as well as Facebook support.

MobilityWare has released Solitaire 2.8, the latest release of its free app for iOS devices. The upgrade supports Apple’s Game Center, their new social gaming network that allows users to track achievements, see how their scores compare on a leaderboard, and invite friends to play a game.

ABBYY has introduced Business Card Reader 3.0 for the iPhone. Version 3.0 expands the basic functionality — capture of data from business cards and saving it to the mobile address book — of the free app with new features such as the ability to search information about new contacts across social networks. It’s designed to simplify work with the application by highlighting uncertain characters in the captured text, eliminating the need to visually check all the data.

i-Itch Inc has unveiled Let’s Bead Friends 2.0, update to their $0.99 app for iOS devices. It allows users to create virtual friendship bracelets. Added in version 2.0 are new bead shapes and Halloween themed designs that will enable you to make spooky, festive bracelets to send to family and friends with a personalized greeting tag. This updated version also includes candy corn, skull and crossbones, bats, spider webs and jack-o-lantern and ghost faces.

288 Vroom has updated their $0.99 iPhone app 100 Horror Stories, Sounds, And Scares. In addition to horror and ghost stories and creepy sounds, the app now also includes Pranks!, seemingly harmless games designed to give players a good scare.

Thaddeus Computing, publisher of “iPhone Life” magazine, has released their new iPhone Life app version 2.0. The free app lets users access daily “iPhone Life” blogs, current news from other web sites, tips, archives of previous issues, and iPhone sites around the globe.

Cute Logic has updated GhostWriter, their $0.99, spooky iPhone photo app for Halloween. Now users can add ghostly messages to existing pictures from their photo library, as well as those they take with the iPhone camera. GhostWriter’s other new features include two new ghoulish effects that can be applied to photos to give them a seasonally spectral feel.  

Apple has updated its MobileMe Gallery appl for iOS devices, offering iPad compatibility as well as support for the higher-resolution Retina Displays found in the iPhone 4 and fourth-generation iPod touch. The update also brings support for multi-tasking and the ability for iPhone and iPad users who aren’t MobileMe members to view friends’ photo galleries.
