Xerox (http://www.xerox.com) has announced a entry-level light production printer, the Color 550/560, which sports a color touch screen. It’s designed for quick print shops, small commercial printers, in-plant operations, advertising agencies, creative shops and office settings.
Applications ranging from marketing materials and photo specialty items to office documents and PowerPoint presentations can be produced on the Xerox Color 550 at 50 color pages per minute (ppm) or 55 ppm in black and white; and on the Xerox Color 560 at 60 color ppm or 65 ppm in black and white. The Xerox Color 550/560 Printer is immediately for order taking worldwide with a U.S. list price under $40,000.
