Raidon (http://www.raidon.com.tw) has released the new SAS 6G storage solution, iR2880-8S-U5, performing at a data transfer rate beyond 700MB/second. High level RAID6 data redundancy also can be installed.
The iR2880-8S-U5 offers an optimum SAS 6G storage solution especially to multi-operational workstations and data based servers for the small to medium business market. It sports an Intel 80341 CPU and 1GB of DDR2 RAM under the hood. The embedded dual SAS 6G host interface supports eight of 15mm height 2.5-inch hard disk drives from a physical figure of three standard 5.25-inches CD-ROM spaces. It also provides system configuration and monitoring via LCD control panel, LAN or RS232 ports.
