LaCie (http://www.lacie.com) has announced the latest addition to its USB 3.0 portfolio, bringing the interface to the design of Philippe Starck with the LaCie Starck Mobile USB 3.0. Remember, however, that Apple doesn’t support USB 3.0 yet, so such devices will run on Macs at USB 2.0 speeds.
The LaCie Starck Mobile USB 3.0 comes with LaCie Setup Assistant software to install your drive on Mac and PC. It also includes LaCie Backup Assistant for automatic backup a snap. In addition, you get 10GB of Wuala Online Storage included for one year to store, share and sync your data online.
The LaCie Starck Mobile USB 3.0 will be available in a 500GB capacity through the LaCie Online Store, LaCie Corner, LaCie Reseller+ and LaCie Storage Partner starting at the suggested retail price of US$109.99.
