Heading into the holiday season, Apple captured 10.8% of the Canadian Personal Computing Market in Q3, 2010 according to IDC Canada. The data collected by IDC puts Apple in fourth spot among other computer manufacturers HP, Acer and Dell respectively, reports “ehMac” (http://www.ehmac.ca/index.php?f=29).
According to IDC Canada, the 10.8% market share in Canada for Apple is up from 9.9% in the second quarter of 2010. “ehMac” notes that Apple briefly cracked the 10% threshold in 2009 as well. With the addition of five more of its retail stores in Canada in 2010, Apple now has 19 stores across the country.
