Capparsa has debuted TimeTag (http://www.capparsa.com) at the Mac App Store. It’s a personal time sheet application that allows you to create and use descriptive tags to track the time spent on your day’s activities.

Time Tag avoids the long list of time records and instead automatically and intelligently groups together hours by activity. This allows the user to know where his day went without the need for a calculator and spreadsheet app.

TimeTag, originally an iOS-only app, was completely re-designed for the Mac. You can categorize tags, so a group of tags can be “Being Productive” or “Leisure Time.”

TimeTag also features a filter that allows the user to pull up a specific subset of records. There can be combined with the export feature, which lets you export all or some of your records for use in other apps.

Time Tag requires Mac OS X 10.6.6. It costs US$4.99 and is available exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Productivity category.
