Power App has announced SMSWriter 1.0 for iOS, an US$0.99 app with over 800 message templates for every occasion. There are 843 different templates in English, and 1,170 in German. Categories include: Love, Friendship, Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Greetings, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Weddings, and Jokes. Customized messages may be sent from within the app.

Electric Pocket has introduced Ringtone Remix Pro for iOS, putting the power of a ringtone creation studio onto iPhone smartphones. With Ringtone Remix Pro, iPhone users can y create their own free ringtones from the music they already own and connect with Dropbox to sync and share ringtones. Ringtone Remix Pro is available for an introductory price of $0.99. A free “lite” version is also available.

Screenlife, the creators of the Scene It? entertainment trivia game, has released its new Scene It? Romance App for the iPhone and iPod touch and HD version for iPad just in time for Valentine’s Day. The iPhone/iPod touch version is $1.99; the iPad version is $4.99.

Syed Uddin has debuted Mirror 360 HD 1.0, a mirror application for the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4. The $0.99 ap includes a recording feature allowing users to make a short clip and watch it within the app to check whether everything is good with their hair or face.

IG Markets, an UK Contract for Difference (CFD) firm, is offering its new iPhone dealing app for free. Kobo, a global eReading service that enables users to read on any device anywhere in the world, says its social eReading experience, Kobo Reading Life, is now available free for the iPhone and iPad. Users can learn about their reading habits from the Reading Life dashboard, achieve reading milestones and targets, unlock dozens of achievement-based badges, and check in with characters and places they encounter in special enhanced ebooks.

Dingo Games has rolled out Tasty Planet 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. In the $1.99 game, players control a tiny ball of grey goo which eats everything smaller than itself. The more it eats, the bigger it gets. As players make their way through the game’s 60 levels, the goo grows from a bacteria eating microbe to a planet gobbling monster.

ActiveTrak has updated GadgetTrak for iOS, a device and data protection service available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, to version 2.5. GadgetTrak for iOS — available for $3.99 — is tamper-proof, preventing thieves from modifying the application settings or avoiding being tracked. Version 2.5 will safeguard against iJacking, including camera support to snap pictures of thieves in the act.

Developer Kyle Barber says Candid Camera: Black Ops Edition 1.0, his funny iPhone application, is now free to celebrate the release of the First Strike Map Pack. Using a secret facial recognition software, Black Ops takes judging your friends to a new level. Take a picture of anyone and watch as the app assigns a Black Ops personality trait and description to each of your pals.

Breek has announced The Farm HD 1.1, an update of their $3.99 educational app for the iPad. Toddlers can use it as a classic picture book and will learn a second or third language while playing and having fun. The Farm HD features 20 high-quality original drawings, each with real animals sounds, selected so as not to frighten young children.

Factorial has updated ClipTouch, their Final Cut Server client for the iPad, to version 1.1.It connects directly to any Final Cut Server without requiring any additional configuration, and lets you browse, share, collaborate, and present your media assets in a totally new way. Version 1.1 adds built-in support for audio, images and documents, and allows you to send files to other iPad apps. ClipTouch 1.1 is being offered for a special promotion price of $9.99 for a limited time.

M3me has released Remote Conductor 1.1 for iPad, an update to their productivity app for wirelessly controlling a Mac. The $9.99 app delivers three main features focused on streamlining everyday computing tasks: Application/Window Switcher, Remote Program Launcher and Wireless Trackpad. Version 1.1 adds a fully encrypted keyboard, direct connect by IP or host name and a network test mode.

Kniveswood Studios has updated MangaBlade, a manga and comic book viewer for the iPad, to version 1.1. The $5.99 app combines three elements for manga consumption: a user interface designed specifically for the Apple tablet, integration with online manga catalogs, and the ability to import your own manga. Version 1.1 introduces iOS 4.2 multitasking support, bookmarking support for its in-app web browser, and optimizations for a snappier user experience.

One Man Left Studios has announced the first paid expansion for its Tilt to Live HD 1.4, called Viva la Turret. Available as an In-App Purchase, users can access a new weapon, the Perforator turret, and a new gametype called Viva la Turret. Tilt to Live HD is an arcade shooter with five different modes of play and a unique combat system. Customers who have already purchased the full version of Tilt to Live HD can buy the new content as a $0.99 in-app purchase. For new users, the app’s amended Full Version now includes everything for $4.99. That’s all 10 unlockable weapons and all five gametypes, including the new Viva la Turret content.
