Seagate’s Seagate TV Remote application has been apProved and is now available for download from the Apple App Store. Use of the free app requires installation of the latest GoFlex TV HD media player or FreeAgent Theater+ HD media player firmware, which can be accessed and downloaded from the support site on http://www.seagate.com to either of the two HD media players as long as the device is located in the US.
The new Seagate TV Remote app enables control of a GoFlex TV or FreeAgent Theater+ Product from anywhere in the home using an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch via Wi-Fi. The app interface resembles the existing media player’s infrared remote controls. Additionally, because the app leverages the home Wi-Fi network, there is no need for line-of-sight between the HD media player and the controller, allowing it to be used anywhere within the home.
Smarty Pants School has announced Smarty Pants School 1.0 for the iPad. The free enables parents and teachers to assess children’s early reading skills based on the official recommendations of the National Reading Panel. The Crayon Draw tab opens to a blank paper experience to encourage kids free style drawing and creativity. The user can save unlimited colors on all devices.
Verietas Software had unveiled iHeartYou! 1.0 for iOS, a $0.99 app designed and developed by a husband and wife specifically to help busy couples keep a little romance in their lives. iHeartYou! allows the user to select from several suggestion categories, ensuring that the suggestions it makes are apPropriate to the user.

The app calculates payments for Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans using a graphical user interface.

Based on the TV reality shows the app features characters inspired by the actual bachelors and bachelorettes from t”The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.” The iPhone/iPod touch version costs $2.99; the iPad version is $4.99.
Developer Canzhi Ye has updated his Easy Typing Productivity app to version 2. The $0.99 app allows users to be more efficient when typing on the iPhone or iPod touch. Zap ‘n Cap Apps, in association with ZombiesDrule has announced Talking Zombo the Zombie 1.2.0, a special Valentine’s Day update. Rickey Nguyen has updated Text Translator for iOS devices to version 1.1. It’s an $1.99 utility that automatically translates your text message into another language of your choice using Google Translate API. You have the options to send the text as a mobile text message and as E-mail. You can also choose to post the translated text to your Facebook, Twitter, or MySpace account. Text-to-Speech is available for the English language.
Jackson Myers has released SlothCam 1.54, an update of the Mac OS X WebCam viewer for all Apple iOS devices including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It’s an application for viewing live webcams from around the world on your personal computer or mobile device. SlothCam can be used for monitoring traffic cameras, checking on ski and surf conditions, or watching any live webcam in the world that you’re interested in. SlothCam for iOS is available as two different versions: SlothCam Webcam Browser, a $0.99 download with advanced features, and SlothCam Free, a basic free ad supported version.
AppGeneration Software has updated NPolls for iOS devices to 1.1. It’s a free polling app that enables users to simultaneously express their opinions, and earn cash. Version 1.1 enables users to create their own polls. Surveys can be created within the App for a very small price. The NPolls community includes over 55,000 users from 143 countries.
Moonchaser Software has introduced Cartouche 2.0 for iPad and iPhone. The free app challenges the user to manipulate columns of hieroglyphs into lines of three or more. Once completed, the lines of glyphs will disappear and the remaining glyphs will fall under gravity, and may create new lines. As glyphs are removed from the board, the speed of descent for new columns increases. The game ends when any glyph lands “above” the play area.
