The US$0.99 allows users to select specific days either in the future or in the past and keep a rolling count of how much time has either gone by since a day was selected or how many days are left until a selected day or event will come up. This app allows users to have numerous count-down clocks, each accurate down to the second.
Kuyi Mobile has released The Minis: Flytrap 1.0, its third minigame installment for the iPhone and iPod touch. In the free game, players catch different kinds of flies using a state-of-the-art flytrap. You can unlock new breeds of flies, unlock additional game modes, compete with your friends on Game Center or OpenFeint and more.
Edenpod has launched NewtonApples 1.0 for iOS, an arcade game where players save Sir Isaac Newton from getting hit by falling elements, and discover his three Laws of Motion at the same time. The goal is to pop falling red apples, slice falling green apples, and flick away descending green leaves, allowing Newton to get his well needed rest under the apple tree. Players score points by preventing Newton from being hit twice. NewApples is being offered for $0.99 for a limited time.
Cute Logic has introduced Cute Slideshow 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The $2.99 app allows users to take their photographs and combine them with transitions, text and music to create slideshows. Slideshows can be saved and played back later. With an iPhone 4 or fourth generation iPod touch, users can play back slideshows on a television or monitor.
Industrial Brothers has debuted 2Bit 1.0, a $0.99, single-player, retro-inspired arcade game for iOS devices. The Tron-like adventure is loaded with multiple grids of action and is OpenFeint enabled allowing players to see how their high-scores rank on the Global leader-boards.
Athena’s Tiles, an edge-match puzzle from Sphere & Cylinder LLC, is now available for iOS devices. The $1.99 app is open to players with color vision or manual dexterity issues, and those who can’t read or use numbers. The app can play itself showing the moves to a solution. Puzzles are solved at the player’s pace. There is no competition with other players and no time pressure. The 26 levels each have an unlimited number of games. Difficulty goes from preschool to adult.
Chiisai App Solutions has updated Book Crawler — its $1.99 book database, cataloging and library for iOS — to version 3.0. In addition to a new app icon, the update adds Goodreads reviews, batch ISBN barcode scanning, and numerous improved search and sort capabilities to Book Crawler’s extensive line of features.
AppsHome has announced System Manager 6.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s a $0.99 multifunctional system level utility for managing memory, background processes, battery health, testing network status and looking up detailed device information. DotTribes and The Green & Energy Consulting Group have released iEV 1.0.1, an update of the $5.99 electric car simulator for 3G, 3GS and 4G iPhone devices. This app enables people to simulate an electric vehicle’s battery and range behavior while they’re driving their normal car. With this information drivers can get to know their personal range and battery capacity requirements before buying an electric car. Version 1.0.1 adds translations to French and Polish.
iPhoneXCoder has updated Real Drums for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices to version 3.0. The $0.99 app lets you set instruments and sound kit from the application menu. Real Drums features six types of drums, including bongos and kitchen drums.
