ITnovis has cooked up Cookiza! 1.0 (http://www.cookiza.de) for Mac OS X on the Mac App Store. Containing more than 10 categories, Cookiza! is the community cookbook. It requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later, costs US$9.99 and is exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Lifestyle category.
The recipes compiled by the community often show a photo of the finished dishes, level of difficulty and preparation time, the caloric values and author. The recipes from the community are consistently updated by way of an update function, so that the collection becomes more extensive in the course of time.
So far, only users with the iPhone, the iPod touch or the iPad had the opportunity to use the recipes. Now there is the “More than a Cookbook” cookbook, also on the Mac. It means that all Mac users can now at long last also retrieve new culinary ideas. In addition, the Mac App offers a shopping list, a portion calculator and a menu planner.
