A busy schedule is up on “The MUG Event Calendar” this week.
Jean MacDonald of Smile Software will talk to an Oregon group about online marketing, Adam Engst of TidBITS and Take Control will visit, in person, a Colorado group, and Dave Hamilton of The Mac Geek Gab and Mac Observer will discus backups in person with a New Jersey group.
Apple legend Guy Kawasaki will visit another Oregon group and Christian Pickman of Micromat will be the featured speaker at a California group. Apple isn’t left out of his week’s full schedule, with Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra making a stop on his ongoing Mac User Group Tour in Maryland, and an Apple Store rep showing off the iPad 2 to a Michigan group.
Let’s not forget about this week’s Final Cut Pro SuperMeet in Las Vegas at the NAB show. If that wasn’t enough, other groups around the world will be talking about Dropbox, iLife ‘11, iPad 2, genealogy, Google Groups, video, Final Cut Pro and lots more.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
