Taiwan-based PCB (printed circuit board) suppliers have cut quotes for the quarter by 10% on average for their orders placed by Apple, reports “Digitimes” (http://macte.ch/VdONy), quoting “industry sources.”
The Taiwan-based PCB companies, which are shipping products for iPads and iPhones, have seen disappointing orders for these devices in the second quarter, the article adds. Orders for June show no signs of a rebound, notes “DigiTimes.”
However, with the iPhone 4S set to be launched in the third quarter, the responsible Taiwan-based PCB makers may see their shipments rise sequentially through September, according to the “DigiTimes” sources.
