When Coloud (http://www.coloud.com) sent me a pair of Boston Bruins headphones, I was happy to test them — just not in public since I live in Nashville, home to the Predators.
One of Coloud’s NHL series, it has good sound for an inexpensive (you can get ’em for about US$30), no-frills (and I do mean NO frills) set. It’s a one-size-fits all headphone with a snug (perhaps too snug for some), comfortable fit and cushioned earpads for noise reduction.
The Coloud NHL headphones swivel a bit for added comfort. The earpieces are made of plastic with metal extensions through them for adjusting the headphones. They’re not the most durable feeling headphones I’ve ever used.
I tried the Boston Bruins headphones with my iMac, iPad and iPhone. The sound was solid with better-than-expected treble — though it lacked bass. You can crank up the volume quite a bit before you hit the distortion level.
What you get for your money is a decent sounding headphone at a reasonable price. Nothing more or less.
Unless you’re a Bruins fan.
