Group Logic (http://www.grouplogic.com) has released ExtremeZ-IP 7.2, which boasts performance, reliability and usability enhancements. It supports OS X Lion and will allow organizations to use and support multiple versions of Mac OS X.
Also, GroupLogic will now bundle its ShadowConnect at no additional cost, allowing Macs to instantly self-restore previous versions of files and folders from the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy service. ExtremeZ-IP’s ShadowConnect option affords Mac users access to the Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Services Windows.
So Mac users have self-serve access to prior versions of their Windows files, says Group Logic CEO Chris Broderick. With ShadowConnect, Mac users can: restore previous versions of files and folders; restore deleted files; and browse shadow copy files with Cover Flow and Quick Look previews.
A new license for ExtremeZ-IP 7.2 is US$395 for a three-client server and $1,495 for a 10-client server. Upgrade pricing and an enterprise licensing program is also available. Version 7.2 is a free upgrade for existing customers.
