Each slot is wired for power and network connectivity. Each cabinet is equipped with six APC switched PDUs (power distribution units) that allow for remote power cycling of individual Mac minis. The power to each PDU is supplied by an APC UPS and backed up by Generac generators. The network connection is tied to a stack of Cisco Gigabit Switches, which in turn have redundant fiber connections to the data centers backbone network.
Mac Mini Vault offers collocation services for Macs starting at US$29.99 per month. The company has specially engineered 48U data center cabinets that hold over 140 Mac minis each.
