Apple has released iBooks 1.5 and Cards 1.0.1. Both are available in the Apple App Store for free.
The update of the iBooks ebook reader app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch adds a new Night reading theme (which displays white text on a black background that’s easier to read in low-light conditions), along with several new font choices: Athelas, Charter, Iowan, and Seravek. However, it removes these fonts: Baskerville, Verdana, and Cochin.
iBooks new Full Screen option that lets you get rid of the rounded corners, stacked pages, book jacket graphic, and other attempts to make reading in iBooks seem more like reading a printed book. Apple has also rolled out new classic covers for public domain books.
Cards 1.0.1 — an update for the greeting card and postcard maker app for the iPhone — includes a redesigned text editor. It also purportedly improves the mailing address verification and checkout process.
