Take this with a grain of salt (or two), but “DigiTimes” is reporting that Apple will release the iPad 3 in March and an iPad 4 in October.
The former will sport a full HD display, the latter “killer applications,” the report says, quoting unnamed “industry sources in Taiwan.” The iPad 3 will come with a QXGA (1,536 x 2,048 pixels) display and longer battery life, and Apple will take the advantage of the iPad 3 launch to slash the price of its iPad 2 to US$399, says “DigiTimes.”
As for the iPad 4, the article says it will sport “much upgraded hardware specifications and integrated applications.” However, “DigiTimes” offers no details on those “killer apps.”
