The Enterprise Device Alliance (http://www.enterprisedevicealliance.org) says Parallels (http://www.parallels.com/), which specializes in hosting and cloud service enablement and desktop virtualization for the enterprise, is the newest member of the alliance.
“Parallels empowers enterprises with award-winning solutions so they can quickly support their growing population of Mac users who need to run OS X and Windows applications side-by-side, and to access everything remotely via iPad, iPhone or iPod touch,” says T. Reid Lewis, president of the Enterprise Device Alliance, and president of GroupLogic. “Parallels makes it easy for IT departments to comply with corporate policies, simplifies mass deployments, and streamlines the business user experience. Its membership in the EDA will help further facilitate the integration of Apple devices in the enterprise.”
Each member company of the Enterprise Device Alliance provides products that allow organizations to benefit from their existing investment in Mac technology while leveraging their Windows management and administration infrastructure. EDA members provide additional integration and functionality in key areas of the business that are important to deployments in enterprise environments.
“Parallels supports the Enterprise Device Alliance’s goal of helping organizations increase their productivity while they integrate, manage and protect a diverse array of desktops and mobile devices,” says Kim Johnston, vice president of marketing for Parallels. “Our cross-platform and mobile solutions make it simple and cost-effective for enterprise to support and manage the Mac hardware employees want while seamlessly giving them Windows and other applications they need.”
