While there are the usual diverse set of meetings on “The MUG Event Calendar” as January closes out, the week belongs to Macworld/iWorld, even though there are no user group events scheduled for the show.
All the usual MUG speakers the Calendar covers — and many more –are making the trek to San Francisco for Macworld 2012. In conjunction with Macworld week, the Final Cut Pro SuperMeet will be held on Friday.
Not going to San Francisco? Then you’ll want to check out backups in California, Sapphire Edge video effects in Indiana, the iPhone, iOS 5 an iCloud in Maryland, ebooks in Ohio and more.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
