Though Apple didn’t break down iPhone sales by model when it reported first-quarter earnings earlier this week, new consumer survey from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) does and finds the iPhone 4S to be the most popular model of the device.
According to CIRP’s survey — as reported by “AllThingsD” (http://macte.ch/Lr3Sy), the 4S accounts for 89% of iPhone sales since its debut, while the iPhone 4 and 3GS accounted for 7% and 4%, respectively.
What’s more, the higher-end 4S models were hot sellers. Of the 89% figure, 21% were 64GB models, 34% were 32GB systems, and 45% were 16GB.
