Developer Michael L. Farrell has introduces Verto Studio 3D 1.0 for Mac OS X (10.6 and higher). It’s available now at the introductory price of US$24.99 (the normal price is $49.99) exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Productivity category.
Verto Studio supports import of OBJ and 36 other file formats, allowing users to download thousands of wire mesh models or create their own. Powerful enough for professionals doing mobile 3D content creation and easy enough for beginners, it features 3D modeling, dynamic lighting, texture mapping, iOS/OS X file sharing and multi-touch gestures in Mac OS X 10.7.x (“Lion”), according to Farrell.
Verto Studio 3D 1.0 offers real-time Gouraud shading, dynamic lighting, self illumination, vertex editing, multiple camera angles, and an Auto mode for manipulating every object in a scene simultaneously. Plus, it offers a pipeline, via email or Dropbox, for the conversion of almost any 3D file into a Verto Studio 3D mobile file for an iPhone or iPad.
