Zevrix Solutions (http://www.zevrix.com) has released Output Factory Light 1.0, a simplified, low-cost version of its solution to automate output from Adobe InDesign.
Output Factory Light automates printing, exporting to PDF and PostScript, as well as post-processing from InDesign. In addition to output of multiple files, single page export and variable file names, it offers layer versioning, preflighting, workflow presets, processing history and other tools to streamline prepress and publishing workflows.
The new light version provides automation of printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript. The full version also supports EPS, Flash, INX, IDML, EPUB and several image formats.
In addition, Output Factory can skip files with specific errors, preflight final PDF automatically using Acrobat Pro’s droplets, and send output files over the Internet and locally through integration with Zevrix file transfer solution Deliver. The history feature lets users keeps track of all processed jobs, output files and preflight errors.
Output Factory Light 1.0 can be purchased from Zevrix and authorized resellers for US$119.95; the full version is $169.95. A demo is available for download. Licensed BatchOutput users can upgrade to Output Factory for $84.97 ($40 for users who purchased BatchOutput after Oct.1, 2011). Output Factory is available for Mac OS X 10.5-10.7 and works with Adobe InDesign CS3-CS5.5.
