Another day, another lawsuit. An 83-year-old Queens (New York) woman is suing Apple for a million bucks after hitting her face on a glass door at a Long Island Apple Store, reports “CBS New York” (http://macte.ch/7G0ce).

Evelyn Paswall claims that the glass doors at the front of Apple Stores pose a risk to the elderly. Paswall’s attorney Derek T. Smith told the “New York Post” that,“Apple wants to be cool and modern and have the type of architecture that would appeal to the tech crowd, but on the other hand, they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people.”

Paswell’s suit claims that “The defendant was negligent . . . in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning.”

Last year, Apple had white stickers installed on the transparent glass of all Apple Stores to help prevent such collisions from occurring, notes “MacRumors” (http://www.macrumors.com). However, the plaintiff’s lawyer says that any markings that were on the glass are insufficient, saying his “client is an octogenarian. She sees well, but she did not see any glass.”
