Hyperion Games has announced Retro Jump : 1983 for iOS devices. In the game — which is free for a limited time — the object is to keep jumping on platforms, as high as you can, while tilting your device to guide the player. Watch out for the video nasty hazards, toxic weed, strange guardians, falling stalactites.

Byte By Byte has released Run and Jump HD 1.0, the follow-on iPad version to its iPhone game. It’s an US$1.99 side scrolling endless runner that includes six maps to run though.

Intersog has introduced Guzu for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. A free mobile arcade game, it throws players into a battle for survival as they pilot their cute but ever-hungry dragon around the screen catching snacks and dodging dangerous enemies that want to make Guzu their next snack.

Blue Lightning Labs has launched Mathemagics Easy Algebra Fast for iOS. The $1.99 app builds on the Mathemagics iOS app and boasts a variety of algebra techniques. Each lesson step is accompanied by an animation of the step instructions in action.

BigBig Bomb has unveiled StackTrace 1.0, their new reference browser for iPad. The $4.99 app provides an experience for exploring the expert community on Stack Overflow, a Q&A site for programmers.

Leaping Bytes has premiered SaveNShow 1.0, an utility for the iPhone and iPad to organize your life on the go. The $1.99 app stores text, photos, maps and addresses, assigns them due dates to create a portfolio of things you need for a given date, and provides iCloud synchronization.

Sinisa Drpa has debuted Boat HUD 1.0 for iOS. It’s a $1.99 speedometer and weather report app that provides access to information about speed, heading, wind direction, pressure and temperature.

Jerome Payelle has presented Flakey Friends 1.0. The $0.99 social networking app allows users to openly and publicly tag friends that flake on them for any reason. The app will prompt users to type in a message, or select a pre-populated message such as “did not show up” or “flaked on me at the last minute!” by tapping the “comments” button.

The Porter Company has rolled out My Very Own ABCs 1.0 for iOS devices. In the $2.99 game you can upload your own photos and label the words to create your child’s very own ABC book.

New Vision Technologies has served up KoolrPix Studio, a photo collage and image presonalization app for the iPad. It lets you personalize your photos, then share them with family and friends. KoolrPix Studio is available as both a free and paid app. The free version provides in-app purchase options with an upgrade path to the full edition. The full edition ($2.99) delivers all available content for download, as well as continued access to the KoolrPix Studio ongoing production of weekly content updates.

Dentist Ben Underwood has developed an app called Brush DJ to make brushing less boring. The free app plays two minutes of a song taken at random from the music library stored on the user’s device. This encourages people to brush for and effective length of time while rediscovering their music collection.

The Call of Sedona app is a mobile app that follows the success of author Ilchi Lee’s New York Times best seller, “The Call of Sedona: Journey of the Heart.” The free version of the app transforms Lee’s words into an interactive meditation guide full of images, music, videos, interviews, and more.

Activision Publishing is expanding the reach of the Skylanders franchise with Skylanders Cloud Patrol for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. The $0.99 game is set in a new region of Skylands that has been overrun by the evil minions of Portal Master, Kaos.

Cowbell 2012 has trotted out a political cowbell iPhone app. Cowbell 2012 ($0.99) is a noisemaker app incorporating a customizable cowbell for political events and candidate rallies.

Griffin Technology has cooked up Silly Face Swaps HD, a $1.99 app that allows children to add photos of themselves to make personalized coloring pages. Silly Face Swaps HD has a variety of animated coloring pages with characters that have a cut-out where children can place a photo of their face, a friend’s face or a pet’s.
