Tricky Duck has introduced RocketDocs 1.0 for Mac OS X, an utility designed as a lightweight Google Docs Client. It requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, costs US$5.99 and is available at the Mac App Store in the Productivity category.
RocketDocs allows users to work with Google Docs in a separate application from the Dock as well as from the menu bar. As a standalone application, independent of any web browser, it consolidates and organizes all the features of Google Docs in a single window, allowing users to create, open, preview, and share documents with one mouse click or one touch of the trackpad.
RocketDocs allows the user to go to the menu bar, access the app’s drop-down menu and instantly create a new document, presentation, spreadsheet, form, table or drawing. Also available from the convenient menu is a list of all the most recently opened Google Docs documents from which the user can choose and quickly open any one.
