Apple and Samsung CEOs will meet on May 21 and 22 to try and settle the global, ongoing patent battle, reports “FOSS Patents” (http://macte.ch/SfT1s). Currently, the legal brouhaha involves 50-plus patents and lawsuits in 10 countries.
The meetings will take place in a San Francisco courthouse, while the litigation itself is before the San Jose division of the court. Apple’s original complaint accused Samsung of violating eight patents, and named 17 specific Samsung products that the company felt were infringing upon its own inventions.
