A busy week is on tap on “The MUG Event Calendar.”
Bob “Dr. Mac” LeVitus will be on the road with his annual Mid-Atlantic MUG Tour, with stops at a New Jersey group and two Pennsylvania groups, among other appearances. Trailing Bob by only one scheduled appearance, Jean MacDonald of Smile will make two MUG appearances, one in Texas and one in New York. Jeff Gamet of “The Mac Observer” will discuss Apple TV at a Colorado group, and a number of groups will be focusing on the impending demise of MobileMe and the move to iCloud and other cloud services.
Other topics on this week’s agenda include ebooks, iMovie, the 35th anniversary of the Apple II, digital photography; OmniGraffle, iTunes University, Google Maps and more.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
