A former employee of AT&T has pled to providing inside information to clients of a so-called expert-network firm, including details about the phone company’s sales of Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s Blackberry products, reports “The Wall Street Journal” (http://macte.ch/ukCCM).
Alnoor Ebrahim, 57, admitted Monday that he worked as a consultant for an expert-network firm, while employed by AT&T, and shared material, nonpublic information about the phone company with clients of the firm between 2008 and 2010, the article adds. Ebrahim said he received about $180,000 for sharing information during that period.
