Apple has released Thunderbolt Software Update 1.2 on Monday. The update adds support for the US$29 Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter.
The adapter is especially designed for the new Retina display MacBook Pro, which has Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 ports, but no Ethernet or FireWire ports. Thunderbolt Software Update 1.2 — which can be obtained via the Software Update component of the Mac OS X Systems Preferences app — fixes an issues with boot-related problems on some Macs.
