LaCie (http//www.lacie.com) is shipping the RuggedKey, the latest addition to the company’s line of Rugged drives designed by Neil Poulton. It comes in 16GB and 32GB capacities and is available at Apple retail stores, through the LaCie Online Store and LaCie resellers starting at the suggested retail price of US$39.95.
The RuggedKey sports USB 3.0 connectivity and an orange bumper. The latter is designed to protect the key from heat, cold, and 100-meter drops. What’s more, it’s IP-54 certified to resist damage from dust and water.
