Apple is ready to issue its first quarterly dividend to shareholders in 17 years. Shareholders of record as of Aug. 13 will be paid dividends on Thursday, according to “AppleInsider” (http://www.appleinsider.com).
Apple announced its plans for a new dividend program in March, alongside an US$10 billion share buyback program. Each quarter, the company plans to pay shareholders a $2.65 per share dividend.
