This week on “The MUG Event Calendar,” we see groups who have been on summer hiatus in the Northern Hemisphere come back online, just in time for what is believed will be the iPhone 5 announcement.
Francis Sheppard of Apple will show off Mountain Lion, but plenty of other groups, from Oregon to Pennsylvania, will also be focused on the newest version of the OS. A Texas group will discuss social media apps, a Florida group will examine about PDF editors, and by the end of the week, everyone will be discussing Tuesday’s Apple announcements. Other topics on this week’s agenda include photosharing, AirPrint printers, upgrades, freeware, iCloud and more.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center (http://www.mugcenter.com), an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, imProving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical Problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page (http://www.apple.com/usergroups/).
