According to a Forrester Research report (www.forrester.com) — as reported by “Silicon Valley BizBlog” (http://macte.ch/SbunZ) — Apple will sell about US$17 billion Macs and iPads to business and the government this year.
On the other hand, non-Apple computers and tablets to business and the government will grow by only 1.7% this year to $146.6 billion. That’s down by about 3% from 2011.
Forrester estimates that Apple’s sales to business and government will jump by 76% on iPads to $10 billion and 9% on Mac computers to $6.7 billion. The research group also projects Apple sales in this market to grow by another 35% in 2013 while Windows-based sales remain flat.
