Apple manufacturing partner, Foxconn Electronics has issued a statement related to the recent riots at its Taiyuan facility in China saying that production lines that were temporary halted to assist the investigation by local police on Sept. 24 have already resumed operations, reports “DigiTimes” (www.digitimes.com).
The company adds that the facility isn’t responsible for any product assembly so there’ll be no effect on shipments of products such as the iPhone 5. Responding to news reports that deaths occurred during the conflict, Foxconn said there were no deaths and all the injured are currently “being carefully attended to,” adds “DigiTimes.”
