In a note to clients — as reported by “CNET” (news.cnet.com) DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim says he still thinks a 13.3-inch Retina display MacBook Pro will start production in the fourth quarter.
He thinks this will happen after an iPad mini announcement, which he expects soon. Regarding the 13-inch Retina display MacBook Pro, Shim thinks:
° It will have a 2,560-by-1,600 pixel density display. That compares with the 2880-by-1800 15.4-inch Retina display MacBook Pro.
° It will be more price friendly than its big brother. Shim thinks the 13-inch model will sport a price tag “well below the $2,199 entry point for the 15.4-inch model.”
