Apple has agreed to pay the Swiss national railway (SBB) for use of its iconic clock design in iOS 6’s Clock application, reports “The Verge” (http://macte.ch/eNqAq). No info has been released on what Apple will play.
Last month Switzerland’s Swiss Federal Railway service, Schweizerische Bundesbahnen, accused Apple of using their iconic clock in its Clock app for the iPad without permission. Per a report in the Swiss newspaper, “Tages-Anzeiger” (via a somewhat rough Google translation), the SBB had no intention of using Apple, but wanted “a legal and financial solution.”
