Digital Anarchy has released Beauty Box Photo 3.0, an update of their digital makeup skin retouching plug-in for Photoshop and Aperture. Version 3.0 sports a speed increase by using OpenCL, a technology that runs on ATI and Nvidia graphics cards.
The plug-in also introduces new smoothing and masking algorithms that improves automatic masking, and adds shine removal for hot spots on skin areas. There are now over 30 preset Styles that photographers can choose from to make things even easier when getting the perfect look, says Jim Tierney, president of Digital Anarchy.
Beauty Box Photo runs in Photoshop CS3–CS6 (Mac) and Photoshop CS-CS6 (Windows), Aperture 3.x, and Photoshop Elements 9 – 11. The product runs on Mac OS X 10.5 and higher. Demo filters and samples are available at www.digitalanarchy.com .
