Park Bench Software has announced the return of Desktop Repainter, reborn in modern form for Mac OS X. Desktop Repainter enhances your desktop/background with customizable settings for variably changing colors.
The colors can stand alone, or transparently overlay any other background picture you choose. Black and white drawings and photos work particularly well, and are nicely augmented with a splash of color, according to the folks at Park Bench Software.
Features include the ability to: control when and how the colors change; transition between colors; adjust the opacity level of the color; create, store and switch between customized sets of colors; import/export color sets to share with others; and share your currently active color via Twitter, and have your color change when friends Tweet theirs.
Desktop Painter reviews an Intel Mac running Mac OS X 10.6.6 or higher. It costs US$0.99 and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category (http://tinyurl.com/mgspu7g).
