Fultz Creative System Design has rolled out FormalAddress 3.1 (www.formal-address.com), an update to its Mac OS X application that converts free-form contact information obtained from web pages, word processing documents, or other text sources to VCF, CSV, and tabbed-text formats readable by address books, spreadsheets, and databases.
This release doubles the number of supported countries. Addresses in all of North America, South America, Western Europe, and most of the Caribbean can now be added to an address book in a few clicks.
With FormalAddress, you can bring in up to 10 contacts at a time, convert the text with the one-click Formalize function, slide information around if needed, then add the addresses to a contact manager. A direct link to Apple Contacts is provided and export to applications such as Microsoft Entourage, Outlook, Marketcircle Daylite, as well as spreadsheets & databases is easy.
FormalAddress costs US$8.99 and requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 and up. The Pro edition, which can handle up to 1,000 contacts at once and provides extensive address list editing capabilities, is $36.99. Both applications are available in the Mac App Store.
