Appsoft Studio has released Screenshot FX, which enables you to draw any shape on the screen and then take a precise screen shot of that portion of the display.
The draw tool of Screenshot FX allows the placing points of the shape anywhere on the screen. You can outline the area that you want to capture. Straight lines can be combined with curves, so screen shots of any custom shape can be taken.
The application stays in the background and is ready whenever you need it. A transparent background is created around every non-rectangular shape that you capture, so every screen shot can be easily incorporated into various projects like presentations, documents or websites, says Eugenijus Valinskas, project manager at Appsoft Studio.
Screenshot FX requires Mac OS X 10.7 or later. It’s priced at US$1.99 and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Graphics & Design category (http://tinyurl.com/lrowm2g).
