Feral Interactive says the stealth-action game Hitman: Absolution – Elite Edition will be released on the Mac this spring. Developed by Io-Interactive and published by Square Enix for PC and consoles, Hitman: Absolution — Elite Edition brings Hitman’s Agent 47 to the Mac platform for the first time.
Here’s how the game is described: “Agent 47, a genetically-engineered contract killer, has taken on a very personal assignment: protecting a vulnerable girl with whom he shares an unhappy connection. Hunted by the police, marked for death by his former employers and locked in conflict with a ruthless arms dealer, 47 must use his enhanced instincts and deadly skills to eliminate his enemies and save the girl.
“As Agent 47, players will become the ultimate assassin as they master superhuman reflexes, creative stealth techniques and a powerful arsenal of weapons to pull off both clean kills and dramatic executions. While using disguises and distractions to remain undetected, resourceful players can exploit environmental hazards to pull off imaginative hits that make deaths look like accidents.”
All previously released additional content will be included in Hitman: Absolution — Elite Edition, including Hitman: Sniper Challenge. In this standalone mission, players engineer a long-range hit, using only their sharp-shooting abilities to pull off kills and cover their tracks.
Hitman: Absolution — Elite Edition also includes Contracts, a mission-creation mode where players can roam the story mode levels, assassinate targets of their choice by any means possible, then challenge other players to do the same by sharing the contracts online.
