SeedCode (http://www.seedcode.com) has introduced new upgrade of Pro Calendar, which now works on the web via WebDirect. The update also adds an option to use Perform Script on Server (PSOS).
Pro Calendar is especially tuned for folks working with a calendar from outside their local network. It now runs in a browser through FileMaker WebDirect and runs scripts on the server when possible, making the calendar faster.
The WebDirect side of SeedCode calendar is expressed in a separate set of scripts and layouts optimized for WebDirect. These use the same data mapping developers wire up for their desktop calendars so WebDirect support can be pasted into existing calendar deployments (providing they’re up-to-date).
The “Perform Script on Server” script step (PSOS) was introduced in FileMaker Server 13 to let clients of a hosted file run scripts on the server. Using PSOS can result in performance improvements for calendar users opening files from outside their local network.
Pro Calendar costs US$299 for a site license and $849 for a vertical market license.
